Where a Two-Michelin-Star Chef Eats in London: Andrew Wong’s Top Picks
With Must-Visit Restaurants for First-Time London Travelers
The Relisher is where the world’s top chefs reveal their favorite spots in their home cities. This week, I met with Chef Andrew Wong of two-Michelin-starred A.Wong, widely regarded as London’s best Chinese fine-dining restaurant.
Born and raised in the city, Chef Andrew is the visionary behind A.Wong, the first Chinese restaurant outside Asia to achieve the prestigious honor of two Michelin stars.
What struck me most was the depth of Chef Andrew’s journey. Originally a family-run restaurant by his parents, Albert and Annie, A. Wong was transformed by Andrew in 2011 into one of the world’s top Chinese dining destinations. The “A” in A. Wong serves as a tribute to his parents’ legacy.
Below, one of London’s most acclaimed chefs shares his favorite spots and must-visit restaurants for first-time visitors to the city. (Note: A Google Map with all locations listed is provided at the end of the interview.)
