The Best Restaurants in Paris, According to a Michelin-Starred Chef
Welcome to The Relisher’s fourth Paris edition! This week I met with Atsushi Tanaka, the chef-owner of the Michelin-starred restaurant AT in Paris.
Chef Tanaka began training at just 17 under the legendary Pierre Gagnaire—who once called him the Picasso of the kitchen. He went on to cook at several three Michelin-starred restaurants, including Quique Dacosta in Spain and Geranium in Copenhagen. Since opening AT in 2014, he’s earned awards almost every year, including a spot in The Best Chef Top 100 in 2023.
Below, the local chef shares all of his favorite spots in Paris—from restaurants and bistros to his go-to wine bar. He also reveals the city’s best chocolatier, patisserie and boulangerie.
