Chef Lucho is a visionary in the Mexican culinary scene. In addition to Em, he’s the creative force behind Martínez, Ultramarinos Demar—both considered among the city’s best restaurants—and Café Tormenta.

Guests at Em often ask me, “Where do you recommend to eat?” I usually ask to see their list, which almost always includes the same spots everyone keeps going to. Instead, I like to suggest the places below that aren’t mainstream and that not everyone knows about.
