Where One of Lisbon’s Top Chefs Loves to Eat
After Reading This, You’ll Be Planning Your Next Trip to Lisbon
Welcome to The Relisher’s Lisbon edition! This week, I met with one of the city’s top chefs, António Galapito, chef and owner of Prado Restaurant—widely regarded as one of the city’s best—and Prado Wine Bar.
Prado was Lisbon’s first farm-to-table restaurant, setting the standard for locally sourced dining in the city. Committed to a strong local focus, it partners with regional farmers, fishermen, and wine producers to ensure that every ingredient is fresh and sustainably sourced. As a result, its menu is proudly 100% Portuguese.
“I think Lisbon’s culinary scene has really bloomed over the past six or seven years. It feels like we’ve finally had the chance to showcase Portuguese ingredients, cuisine, and culture to the world.”
Below, the local chef shares his favorite restaurants, wine bars, boutiques, and more in one of the world’s rising culinary destinations. (Note: A Google Map with all locations listed is provided at the end of the interview.)
