Welcome to The Relisher’s Venice edition! This week, I met with Massimiliano Alajmo—known as Max—the youngest chef in history to earn three Michelin stars at only 28 years old.

Today, he runs the globally renowned Alajmo Group alongside his brother Raffaele (Raf), the CEO, and his nephew Giovanni, the COO. Together, they oversee 14 restaurants across Italy, Paris, and Morocco—including their three-Michelin-starred flagship Le Calandre and Venice’s iconic Grancaffè & Ristorante Quadri, now celebrating its 250th anniversary.

Below, Max shares his favorite places to eat in Venice—from the osterias he adores to the restaurant he takes visiting chefs from around the world. You’ll also find a few of Raf and Giovanni’s personal picks—like where to find Venice’s best cicchetti and more. A Google Map with all of the locations is provided at the end of the interview.
